Yes, you can place an order for hard copy and PDF Standards through our website.

You can search for Standards using the search panel on the right of your screen. If you know the number of the Standard you are looking for, type in the number only (for example 3604). The search function only searches words in the title of the Standard (for example timber). To search the abstract of the Standard you need to use the advanced catalogue search. Once you have found the Standards you are looking for, add them to your shopping basket and complete your purchase.

Yes. However, you will need to give us 24 hours notice as we do not hold hard copies of many Standards in stock.

Please call us as soon as possible on 0800 782 632 during business hours and we will do a track and trace through our courier company and advise you when to expect it.

Yes, you will need to contact bookstores in your area directly. Please note that not all bookshops hold Standards in stock.

Hard copy orders within New Zealand are dispatched on the same day if the order is received before 2.30pm. Otherwise, they will be dispatched on the following working day.

International orders may take up to four weeks to be delivered if the overseas Standard needs to be shipped to New Zealand. However many overseas Standards are now available through our print on demand service and can be printed within a couple of days. Delivery time depends on the location and the availability of Standards. International orders for Standards in stock are dispatched within 24 hours.

We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you receive a faulty or damaged Standard we will replace your order with undamaged stock.

If you have received an incorrect Standard, we will exchange it for the correct Standard. You will need to return the hard copy Standard in the original condition so that it can be re-sold.

If it has been damaged by you, or has been damaged through use, we will not be able to accept its return or offer a refund for this and you will need to pay for the correct one.

The majority of New Zealand Standards are printed in book format, however there are occasions when we will include a binder as part of the purchase offer.

If you feel that the Standard you have received is not satisfactory, please email the details to  enquiries@standards.co.nz or call 0800 782 632 during business hours. We will endeavour to replace the copy you have.

You can become a reseller of Standards which will allow you to purchase Standards on behalf of a third party (e.g. members of an industry organisation or customers of a business). You do not need to be a member of Standards New Zealand to purchase Standards but any purchases will cost the full retail price. We accept credit card, cheque, or bank deposit as forms of payment.

To pay by bank deposit choose to 'pay by post'. Your order will be held as a quote and you will be assigned a customer number and reference number.
