Standards New Zealand - assistance for Cantabrians
Standards New Zealand (SNZ) wants to do what we can to help the many Cantabrian members, Standards development committee members, nominating organisations, Online Library subscribers, and customers purchasing Standards whose businesses have been affected by the recent earthquakes.
Here are the ways Standards New Zealand can assist:
- A special 'Canterbury Room' has been set up at Standards New Zealand's offices at 155 The Terrace, Wellington, for Canterbury-based members, development committee members, nominating organisations, subscribers, and customers to use when you visit Wellington. The 'Canterbury Room' is equipped with desks, a telephone, and internet-enabled PCs (or you are welcome to use your own laptop and access our Wi-Fi connection). You are also welcome to use SNZ's kitchen facilities.
- You won't need to book – simply come to the counter on Level 10 at 155 The Terrace and sign in, then ring the bell and let the Customer Services staff know you'd like to use the Canterbury Room.
- Standards New Zealand has set up a special travel fund to provide financial support to Canterbury-based committee members affected by the earthquake who need financial assistance to enable them to attend development meetings in New Zealand. If you haven't received information on this yet and feel you are eligible for this assistance, please email michelle.wessing@standards.co.nz, General Manager Solutions.
- Standards New Zealand is offering a special, 6 months free Online Library subscription to any Canterbury-based committee members, subscribers, Standards New Zealand members, or customers who have been affected by the Canterbury earthquake and have lost their hard copy Standards collections, their PCs/servers, and/or PDF collections of Standards. This offer will enable access to your chosen Standards through the Standards New Zealand website. Applications must be received by 30 September 2011.
