Tea Standards have taken a significant step forward with minimum polyphenol content included for the first time. Minimum polyphenol content is included in the revision of Black tea – Definition and basic requirements ISO 3720:2011 and in the new Standard Green tea – Definition and basic requirements ISO 11287:2011. Both Standards make an important contribution to tea science and its role in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
